Parks and sights in Bordeaux
Bordeaux has a lot of parks and gardens where you can rest in your break during your internship or study in Bordeaux. A good example of such a park is Place Gambetta this garden situated in the centre of Gambetta place is decorated by beautiful landscapes and stunning fishponds and other trappings. This garden is very popular by the local people. This makes it perfect for you to rest during your brake when you are doing your internship placement in Bordeaux or after a day of studying here.
Another fantastic place is Jardin Public (Public Garden) this garden dates back from the early 13th century when it was designed to be a French styled garden. However, in the 19th century it was converted in again an English styled garden. The 10 hectares of beautiful environment include a natural historical museum, a botanical garden, a library and a water garden whit a lot of ducks and swans. Certainly a place worth visiting during your stay in Bordeaux as an international student.
A third park is the Avenue du Golf / Avenue de Pernon, this park has almost 60 acres of roses, magnolias, peonies,azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias, and irises are designed and grown here in a way which gives the park a very peaceful and friendly image.
